  • WHO CANNOT RECEIVE COSMETIC INJECTABLES?
You cannot receive Cosmetic Injectables if you are under the age of 18, pregnant or trying to conceive, breastfeeding, have an active infection, a previous significant reaction or an uncontrolled medical diagnosis.
  • WHAT DERMAL FILLER PRODUCT DO YOU USE?
There are many dermal fillers on the market, however here at Rejuved, we only use TGA approved, premium products for our patients. Due to TGA guidelines we are unable to advertise what particular product we use, however we are a completely transparent clinic and will provide you with full product details during your consultation.
  • WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A CONSULTATION?
During a consultation you will have a thorough facial assessment with your nurse. We will go over your current medical history, medical diagnosis, treatment plan & goals. Before photos are obtained prior to treatment for documentation purposes. A short FaceTime consult will be conducted with a Doctor to ensure the proposed treatment plan is safe to proceed.
  • DO I HAVE TO HAVE MY BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS TAKEN?
In short, yes. Will we share these photos without your consent? No. Obtaining before and after photos is an important aspect of clinical assessment & consultation. This allows our nurses to establish your baseline, and collaborate with the Doctor to provide you with safe treatment. These photos are stored on a secure database and will not be shared on social media without your consent.
  • WILL GETTING DERMAL FILLER IN MY LIPS HURT?
Your comfort during your treatment is very important. When getting your lip filler treatment, a numbing cream will be applied for at least 10 minutes. This will provide a topical numbing agent. Secondary to the topical numbing cream, Lidocaine (local anaesthetic) is incorporated in with the premium dermal filler products we use. As we inject the product, the lidocaine will provide a numbing agent as we go. However, pain can be subjective and individual pain threshold can vary, your nurse will constantly check in with you during your treatment to check up on your comfort level.
  • WILL I BRUISE AFTER GETTING COSMETIC INJECTABLES?
There is always a risk of bleeding and bruising with all cosmetic injections. We are inserting a sharp needle into the skin, multiple times where there are many blood vessels. We cannot guarantee that you will or will not bruise. It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption, blood thinning medications such as ibuprofen, aspirin & fish oil 5 days prior to your appointment to lower risk of bruising (do not cease medications if prescribed by your doctor). Plan your dermal filler appointment 3-4 weeks before any major event. You may apply lipstick and concealer 24 hours post treatment.
  • I SUFFER FROM COLD SORES, CAN I STILL HAVE DERMAL LIP FILLER?
You can still receive dermal lip filler if you suffer from coldsores. You may however be susceptible to an outbreak due to trauma being caused to the tissue by the needle. If you have had a recent outbreak of coldsores within the last two years you can go to your local pharmacy and take a preventative over the counter antiviral tablet the day before your appointment and then the day of your appointment after your treatment. If you do have a history of coldsores, but haven’t had an outbreak for 2+ years, you can opt for one over the counter antiviral tablet on the day of your procedure.
  • WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR A COSMETIC INJECTABLE TREATMENT?
Please come to your appointment with a clean, makeup free face. It is recommended to avoid consuming blood thinning products or substances for 5 days prior to treatment such as Aspirin, St. John’s wort, Fish oil, Vitamin E & alcohol. Please also avoid caffeine for 24 hours prior to treatment. These are all anti-coagulators (blood thinning), and will increase likelihood of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
  • WHEN SHOULD I START GETTING ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
There is no ‘magic’ age that is recommend to start getting Anti-wrinkle injections. However from about age 25, our collagen production starts to decrease. With less and less collagen, our skin begins to appear more thin, pale and susceptible to developing fine lines and wrinkles. By relaxing these muscles with anti-wrinkle injections, we can prevent hard to treat deep wrinkles from forming. Prevention before correction is recommended
  • ARE COSMETIC INJECTABLES PERMANENT?
Anti-wrinkle and Dermal filler injectables are fortunately not permanent. Permanent products = permanent problems. Anti-wrinkle injections usually last for 3-4 months depending on the area. Dermal fillers however can last longer, depending many factors such as absorption, physical activity, type of product can determine how long filler lasts. This is usually 6 months to 2 years. In the event of an emergency or an undesired effect from Dermal filler - At Rejuved, we always ensures that the clinic stores the product that is used to dissolve filler. This is an enzyme that breaks down the filler and then is naturally excreted by the body.

  • AGEING
As we all age, our skin atrophies causing loss of elasticity, hydration and volume which can create heaviness in facial areas (mainly in the lower face), sagging, hollowness, moderate-severe facials wrinkles and folds, and asymmetry. By boosting the skins natural supply of HA with Dermal filler, signs of ageing will diminish, and volume loss will be restored. In turn, creates a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Dermal Filler is a non-surgical treatment that is injected under the skin. It is a gel-like texture that replicates a naturally occurring substance within the body called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This gel is cross linked to enable its ability to keep shape and to slow down the natural absorption in the body.
